My
love for arts & crafts started when I was a young girl at
Camp Bonnie Brae in East Otis, Massachusetts. I loved being
a girl scout always creating, going on nature walks,
canoeing, hiking to pick berries and singing camp songs. My
mother, the late Sylvia Foster Kirby, was a Girl Scout
leader in Springfield, Massachusetts. I loved selling Girl
Scout cookies. Thin Mints rule!
In addition, my mother
was always sewing a dress, curtains or something. I loved
going to the fabric store with my mom and twin sister
Pamela. I would just lose myself in those big thick pattern
books. Little did I know the seeds of my passion to create
were being planted.
Years later, while working in broadcast news as a TV
Reporter/Anchor I would spend my free time doing arts and
crafts. I loved to make floral arrangements and wreaths to
decorate my Victorian home. I sister Jennifer
encouraged me to participate in craft shows. I did and
soon entered into juried craft shows.
Recently I graduated
with a Master's of Science in Nonprofit Management and
Philanthropy. My goal is to someday turn
Kathryn Kirby
Signature Wreaths and Floral Arrangements into a
business with a social mission. The mission would help raise
funds to support youth programs and expose youth to
classical music via the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.
I'm a member of the Springfield Symphony Chorus and music
has always been near to my heart.
Let
Kathryn Kirby Signature Wreaths and Floral Arrangements
captivate your living space, office, outdoors or give as a
gift.
Thank you and have nice
day!
